A talented and driven Teamlead is sought for a development team behind a customer success portal and an Employee Experience Portal, which serves as the central gateway to services and allows employees to digitally manage their timesheets, absences, and expenses. In this role, you will be at the intersection of people leadership, process optimization, and product and technical expertise.
Together with your team, you will contribute to building digital solutions that have a daily positive impact on both customers and employees.
What you will do.
- Lead and coach a development team of approximately 10 talented colleagues spread across an international environment.
- Combine hands-on leadership with a thorough knowledge of Agile principles.
- Help the team deliver high-quality work while fostering individual and collective growth.
- Create a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, across different locations and time zones.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure an effective and pragmatic application of Agile principles.
- Own the Jira methodology within the team and manage the backlog structure, sprint boards, reporting, and process hygiene.
- Act as a bridge between the development team, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Translate priorities into clear, concrete, and actionable assignments.
- Identify and remove both technical and organizational obstacles.
- Support sprint and release planning, balancing scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Actively contribute to technical or product-related discussions, for example, by co-assessing architectural decisions or refining product requirements.
- Monitor team performance and deliverables using relevant metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Profile
- Experience in leading, guiding, and coaching an international, distributed team.
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues from different countries, time zones, and cultures.
- Extensive experience in Agile environments and successfully led, coached, or facilitated teams as a Scrum Master, teamlead, or in a similar role.
- Background in software development or product ownership.
- Solid knowledge of Jira and comfortable with configuring boards, managing backlogs, and increasing transparency within teams.
- Strong communication skills to effortlessly translate technical details into business priorities and vice versa.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meet team members or stakeholders in other countries.
- Pragmatic mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Experience with a similar platform or domain is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as PSM, CSM, PSPO, SAFe or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience with Confluence or other documentation tools is a plus.
