For a passionate and family-oriented construction company, located in a province in Belgium, reinforcement for the calculation team is sought. The organization observes construction holidays. This role is open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
What you do
As a calculator, you are an indispensable link in the preparatory phase of construction projects. Clients base their approval on your calculations. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing a thorough analysis of construction plans, specifications, technical requirements, and quantity surveys.
- Based on these analyses, preparing accurate, market-conform cost calculations and quotations.
- Mapping out quotation and project documentation and assessing the general feasibility of projects.
- Actively contributing to thinking about pricing strategies and ways to execute projects more profitably/efficiently.
- Maintaining close contact with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients during the quotation process.
- Ensuring a clear handover to the execution team once a project is assigned.
- Being involved in post-calculation at the completion of a project to further optimize future quotations.
For exceptionally large or complex projects, collaboration within the team is encouraged.
What they ask
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector (minimum Class 7).
- Preferably a degree in civil engineering.
- Strong technical and numerical analytical skills.
- Communicative and possessing a healthy commercial acumen.
- Proficient in calculation software, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Feeling at home in a family environment and having a strong sense of responsibility.
