ServiceNow Engineer

Working on one integrated ServiceNow environment for a large educational and research organization. Making processes smarter, simpler, and more user-friendly for everyone. You will be part of the Service Management department, specifically the team working on technical realization.

What you will do.

  • Ensure the technical realization of functional requirements.
  • Translate requests into solid technical solutions within the platform.
  • Build, configure, and write scripts to convert functional wishes into working, robust ServiceNow solutions.
  • Technically build, configure, and (further) develop ServiceNow modules.
  • Translate functional designs from the business analyst into technical specifications and working code.
  • Design and implement workflows, playbooks, business rules, script includes, UI-policies, catalog items, and forms.
  • Realize and maintain integrations with other systems, including via REST/SOAP.
  • Test, debug, and resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, upgrades, cloning, and managing technical debt.
  • Ensure flawless technical implementation of releases and upgrades.
  • Identify technical risks and contribute ideas for new possibilities within the platform.

What they ask

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (mandatory).

  • Fluent in Dutch.
  • Affinity or experience with higher education is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a ServiceNow Engineer (mandatory).
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge of Glide API, JavaScript, Flow Designer, and scripting within ServiceNow.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (or willingness to obtain this in the short term).
  • Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, Integration platforms) and structured testing (e.g., ATF).

Practical

  • You will work in an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary, and friendly team.
  • The product team collaborates physically in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Close collaboration with the Platform Architect and a Senior Business Analyst.
  • There is plenty of room for growth and innovation.
