What you will do.
- You will develop and update green and landscape policy, with clear links to climate adaptation, water, ecology, mobility, and spatial developments.
- You will translate strategic challenges into concrete projects and initiatives.
- You will assess and advise on spatial plans, housing projects, and initiatives, ensuring the quality of green spaces and the landscape.
- You will collaborate with colleagues from other spatial disciplines.
- You will have an eye for biodiversity and nature-inclusive design in both urban and rural environments.
- You will oversee how area processes contribute to the strategic goals of the organization and clearly define your role within them.
- You will work with fellow policy officers, residents, nature organizations, farmers, and other municipalities.
- You will advise the municipal executive (college van B&W), both solicited and unsolicited, and inform the municipal council.
- You will represent the organization in regional and national networks and actively build sustainable collaborations.
- You will take initiative and ensure results.

- Completed HBO or WO (higher professional education or university) degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with spatial development, green policy, ecology, landscape.
- Strong environmental sensitivity and communication skills.
- Ability to weigh interests and engage people.
- Experience with participation and collaboration with residents.
- A connector who brings parties together, creates support, and maintains a strong network inside and outside the organization.
- Programmatic and project-based work, while maintaining a policy and steering role.
- Political and administrative sensitivity and ability to handle diverse interests.
- Preferably, experience with Adobe design programs.
- Be resilient and committed to continuous learning and development.
Practical
- A one-year contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent contract.
