You work daily with detainees on their future. You guide them in a workshop where they perform simple production work, such as making parts for roller blinds and labeling cans. You ensure they have meaningful daily activities and prepare them for a successful return to society.
What you do
- Guide and motivate a group of up to 24 detainees during their activities in a workshop or workroom.
- Ensure that the work is performed correctly and that all products are completed on time.
- Encourage detainees to do their work well and help them stay motivated.
- Conduct firm conversations and set clear boundaries.
- Lead and ensure rules are followed, while supporting detainees in their development.
- Prepare the workroom and distribute tasks.
- Provide explanations, answer questions, and assist when necessary.
- Supervise safety at entrances and exits of workplaces, including tool checks.
- Intervene in case of disturbances or misconduct.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering goods, sending invoices, and tracking worked hours.
- Conduct progress interviews with detainees about their development.
- Maintain contact with external parties to ensure products and assignments meet agreed standards.

- You are not easily flustered by problems or challenges.
- You are empathetic and can relate to the target group's experiences, while maintaining professional distance.
Profile
- Demonstrable MBO 4 working and thinking level.
- Some experience working in production, maintenance, logistics, metal, bread/pastry, woodworking, textile, or building maintenance.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and preferably also in English.
- Good physical and mental condition.
Practical
- 8-week onboarding period by an experienced colleague and function-specific training.
