You are the first point of contact for visitors to a judicial institution. You assist colleagues, lawyers, and litigants. You maintain order in courtrooms, guide parties involved in proceedings, collaborate with the police and other chain partners, coordinate with the presiding judge, and act in case of emergencies. As a security officer, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth conduct of hearings and the hospitable reception of parties to proceedings, in coordination with partners within the building.
What you do
- Registering visitors
- Performing access controls with baggage and metal detection
- Directing visitors to the correct location
- Operating various security and communication systems
- Handling (alarm) notifications and incidents
- Maintaining contact with internal and external emergency services
- Keeping reports
- Opening the building in the morning
- Performing fire and closing rounds in the evening
- Monitoring compliance with house rules
- Handling unusual, undesirable, or unsafe situations
- Calling for assistance in escalating situations
Profile
- Hospitable attitude and personal approach
- Alertness and quick detection of unusual signals
- Appropriate action, even in stressful situations
- Adaptability to changing circumstances
- MBO Security Level 2 diploma
- Preferably a BHV (Emergency Response Officer) and EHBO (First Aid) diploma (can be obtained)
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
- Good digital skills
Practical
- Work in a relatively small team
- Team Front consists of the security service, usher service, and central desk & room planning
- You will report to the head of security
- The team comprises approximately 60 employees
