Coordinator Management, Space and Accommodations

A public organization is looking for an experienced coordinator for management, space, and accommodations who can be deployed immediately.

You will take daily leadership of a team and ensure calm, structure, clarity, and results.
You are a visible and accessible leader who inspires, coaches, and holds employees accountable for responsibilities and results.
You combine operational decisiveness with strategic insight.
You identify bottlenecks, take initiative, set priorities, and ensure agreements are met.
In addition to daily management, you make an important contribution to the further development of the team and are a strong discussion partner for management, the board, and portfolio holders.
You fulfill a connecting role between governance and implementation and actively contribute to integral cooperation within the organization.

What you do

Daily leadership of the Management, Space, and Accommodations team.
Coaching, guiding, and developing employees.
Creating calm, structure, and ownership within the team.
Managing for results, quality, capacity, and planning.
Monitoring the progress of projects and regular activities.
Timely identification of risks, bottlenecks, and development points and acting adequately upon them.
Achieving team objectives and further developing the team towards a more strategic and future-oriented role.
Promoting integral cooperation within the organization and with external partners.
Advising management, the board, and portfolio holders on developments within the physical domain.
Contributing to administrative decision-making and representing the team in political-administrative processes.
Drafting, coordinating, and monitoring products within the municipal Planning & Control cycle, including budget, interim reports, and annual accounts.

What they ask

Minimum of a completed HBO/WO education in Civil Engineering/Construction and/or Management.
Willingness to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) with screening profiles 11, 12, 13, 22, 41, 53, and 71.

Preferences.

Recent and relevant work experience within one or more Dutch public organizations.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with the management, maintenance, and development of public spaces and municipal accommodations (road management, green space management, civil engineering structures, real estate, sports accommodations, social real estate, contract management, maintenance planning, and asset management).
Experience in leading employees, teams, and/or departments within a complex organization, including coaching, managing for results, guiding change processes, integral management, and taking responsibility for personnel, organizational, and financial issues. Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams is a plus.
Demonstrable experience with the municipal Planning & Control cycle (drafting budgets, management reports, annual accounts, investment plans, and management information).
Familiarity with the relationships between governance, executive board, management, and the administrative organization, and the ability to operate effectively within this context (advising the board, portfolio holders, executive board, and/or municipal council, preparing administrative decision-making, and dealing with diverse interests within a political-administrative context).
