As a manager, you play a key role in safeguarding and further improving care and safety within a unique, challenging environment of a penitentiary institution. You are a passionate professional with a dedication to forensic psychiatry.
What you will do.
- Responsible for the operational management of healthcare professionals within the treatment team.
- Plays a crucial role in the quality and professionalization of psychiatric and psychological care within a Penitentiary Psychiatric Centre and a Judicial Centre for Somatic Care.
- Makes a significant contribution to professional policy development.
- Leads treatment coordinators (GZ psychologists or nurse specialists) to enable them to perform their profession optimally.
- Organizes operational conditions (personnel, organization, task distribution, work processes, and agreements).
- Works closely with the deputy facility director, the deputy Head of Treatment, and the Director of Care and Treatment.
- Stays informed of the latest developments in forensic care and relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintains relationships with chain partners, such as probation services or healthcare institutions.
- Facilitates scientific research.

- Demonstrable leadership experience in managing (academically trained) healthcare professionals and complex care processes.
- Academic working and thinking level, such as a clinical (neuro)psychologist, experienced GZ psychologist, nurse specialist, and/or psychiatrist.

- Skilled in leading autonomous and academically trained professionals, capable of connecting, inspiring, and providing sharp direction where necessary.
- Skilled in coordinating processes, setting frameworks, and maintaining and creating an overview.
- Thrives in a dynamic organization with a complex target group, where quick adjustments are sometimes necessary, with an awareness of political and social sensitivity.
- Specialized theoretical knowledge of clinical and forensic psychology.
