Host Hostess Care Department

You contribute daily to the well-being of blind and visually impaired elderly individuals with cognitive challenges within a residential care center. You are responsible for preparing and serving meals for residents, paying attention to taste, presentation, and dietary requirements. Sometimes, you also create an individual moment with a resident for a chat or activity, contributing to comfort, well-being, and personal attention in the department.

What you will do. As a host/hostess, you are an important part of the daily lives of our residents in the care department. You respond to their needs in a personal way and fulfill a welcoming role.

• Support elderly individuals
• Create a safe, warm, and homely environment
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and snacks for residents
• Take into account dietary requirements, preferences, and individual needs during meal and drink times
• Provide support during meals and coffee breaks
• Offer personal attention and a listening ear
• Create an individual moment for a resident, for example, by having a chat or engaging in an activity together
• Identify residents' wishes and needs
• Collaborate with care colleagues to contribute to well-being and comfort
• Place orders and complete menu lists

What they ask for. You are social, involved, and hospitable. You understand the importance of attention and proximity for elderly individuals and know how to create a pleasant atmosphere. You have a good sense of what residents need and can easily switch between different situations.
