Geriatric Specialist Physician

The psychogeriatric unit admits elderly patients with cognitive and behavioral disorders, particularly those related to neurodegenerative conditions. The dynamic and committed team includes a geriatrician, rehabilitation physician, hospital general practitioner, as well as a multidisciplinary team (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech therapists, dietitians, social workers, music therapists). Our objective is to ensure comprehensive care focused on the person and their well-being.

What you do

  • Ensure multidisciplinary geriatric liaison with hospitalized patients in special beds at the request of psychiatrists
  • Conduct a geriatric assessment upon admission and before patient discharge
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings and discussions
  • Welcome and monitor elderly patients presenting various cognitive and behavioral disorders
  • Provide your expertise in the management of neurodegenerative pathologies
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of individualized therapeutic projects
  • Assume a clinical referent role for the development and implementation of the unit's care projects
