Develop a clinical research program focused on pancreatic oncology and surgery, linked to the pancreatic convention of regional hospitals.
- Provide education in (pancreatic) oncology within the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences of an educational institution.
- Become a member of the Faculty of Medicine and Life Sciences and a regional clinical research center.
What you do
- Directly teach through lectures and practical sessions.
- Supervise internships and bachelor/master theses (Medicine and Biomedical Sciences).
- Lead a research team.
- Organize education according to the institution's educational model.
- Supervise bachelor's and master's theses for the medical program.
Profile
- Master's degree in medicine.
- Additional specialization in abdominal surgery.
- Doctorate by thesis in (bio)medical sciences (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable clinical expertise in pancreatic oncology and surgery.
- Minimum 7 years of research experience.
- Actively conduct scientific research in the field of pancreatic oncology and surgery.
- Demonstrable experience in submitting and obtaining (inter)national research grants.
- Excellent academic track record with publications in high-ranking international clinical scientific journals.
- Experience in supervising PhD students, technicians, and/or master's students.
- Possess the necessary qualities to lead a research team.
- Experience with academic education is a significant asset.
- Enthusiastic about teaching and conveying course content to students.
- Willingness to organize education according to the institution's educational model.
- Willingness to supervise bachelor's and master's theses for the medical program.
- Knowledge of Dutch at CEFR level B2 at the time of appointment or within 5 years of appointment. Language course support is offered.
- For a coordinating teaching assignment: proof of teaching language at CEFR level C1.
