What you will do.
- Ensure a trusted and safe environment for young people in direct collaboration with permanent colleagues
- Support permanent colleagues in their daily activities within the group
- Monitor daily routines and ensure agreements within the group are adhered to
- Observe and support young people, both in group settings and individually
- Quickly connect to assess what each young person needs
- Bring calm to tense situations, recognize the young person's need for help, and act appropriately, with an emphasis on non-violent resistance
- Conduct handovers with colleagues after shifts and prepare reports
Practical aspects. Work at various residential locations of the care organization. This may include:
- Crisis shelters
- Living and treatment groups/small residential facilities
- One-on-one guidance within foster families
- Emergency shelters and family homes
- Homeless shelters
- Day treatment
- Room training centers
- Co-resident mentor projects
Profile
- An MBO SPW4 or MMZ4 diploma (with work experience in youth care); OR
- An HBO SW, MWD, SPH, Pedagogy diploma with a youth care/mental health specialization; OR
- You are a 4th-year HBO student (Social Work or Pedagogy)
- Preferably, an SKJ registration or willingness to obtain one
- Experience in socio-pedagogical assistance focused on young people from work or internships
- Flexibility to work irregular shifts
- Available for at least two shifts per week
