Behavioral Scientist

As a behavioral scientist, you make a real difference for clients and teams. You work towards a safe, stable, and meaningful living environment at a residential location. The organization believes in meaningful encounters. You will be connected to an existing residential location that offers accommodation to approximately 24 residents with diverse support needs. The target group is diverse and includes people with mild intellectual disabilities, psychosocial, and psychiatric problems.

Residents receive guidance ranging from increasing independence to intensive support. There is a shared meeting space where residents can meet and participate in activities. Together with the team, you work towards a stable and safe living environment where clients experience as much control as possible over their own lives. From your expertise, you contribute to strengthening the quality of care and guidance, always keeping the client central.

The organization works systemically and contextually, looking at the client, environment, relationships, and context in which someone lives.

What you will do. As a behavioral scientist, you are responsible for the substantive support of clients and supervisors at a residential location.

• You investigate support questions, identify guidance needs, and translate these into practical advice for daily guidance.
• You are regularly present at the locations and build a relationship of trust with clients, employees, and involved network partners through meaningful encounters.
• Through observation, diagnostics, and analysis, you gain a clear understanding of what clients need to develop optimally and feel safe within their living environment.
• You advise and coach supervisors and personal supervisors in complex cases.
• You support the drafting, evaluation, and adjustment of care plans.
• You contribute to image formation, diagnostics, and treatment advice.
• You participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
• You coordinate with relatives, therapists, municipalities, and other collaboration partners.
• You support the cluster manager with substantive issues regarding quality of care, team development, and client placements.
• You contribute to methodology development, professional development, and policy development.

You work closely with the team and the cluster manager and are an important sparring partner for everyone involved in the care and guidance of clients.
