As an Internal Patient Transport Employee, you are an important point of contact for patients during their movement within a hospital environment. You ensure smooth, safe, and humane transport of patients on foot, in a wheelchair, or in bed. Thanks to your friendly and empathetic approach, patients feel seen, reassured, and comfortable during their transfer.
What you do
- Transport and guide patients between different departments.
- Provide moral support to patients during their journey if necessary.
- Work independently, but also be in close contact with care teams in various departments.
- Observe discretion and professional secrecy during every transfer.
Profile
- Secondary education diploma.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in Dutch.
- Discreet, social, and able to interact with patients respectfully.
- Take initiative and work proactively and responsibly.
- Able to work independently and function excellently in a team.
- Good physical condition: walking long distances or pushing patients is not a problem.
- Thrive in a work environment that can sometimes be busier and draw energy from it.
