Lecturer Nutritional Epidemiology
An educational and research institute is seeking a colleague who will contribute to the continued development and innovation of epidemiology education. You will support the design, integration, and modernization of epidemiology courses, making the epidemiology curriculum future-proof.
Working closely with course coordinators, teachers, tutors, and instructional designers, you will help ensure that teaching materials, learning activities, and assessments are scientifically rigorous, educationally effective, and adapted to the evolving needs of both on-campus and online students.
What you will do.
- Supporting the alignment and optimization of epidemiology course content across the curriculum to strengthen the learning trajectory for online and on-campus students.
- Collaborating with academic staff and instructional designers to create effective and engaging digital learning environments.
- Contributing to the development of future-proof teaching and assessment materials that are robust in the era of Generative AI.
- Reviewing, updating, and optimizing (digital) educational resources, including a large collection of knowledge clips and other multimedia learning materials.
- Exploring opportunities for open education and wider reuse of educational resources.
- Providing support with course coordination and educational administration to ensure smooth implementation of curriculum innovations.
Profile
- MSc degree in Epidemiology or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of epidemiological concepts, methods, and experience conducting epidemiological research (e.g., an MSc thesis, or peer-reviewed publication).
- Interest in higher education and educational innovation; prior experience with teaching or educational support (Brightspace, digital examination, online education, or instructional design) is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with academic staff and educational support teams.
- English language proficiency at C1 level.
- Enthusiastic about translating epidemiological knowledge into engaging learning experiences.
