This assignment involves a special project focused on the transport and storage of CO₂. The project is in an important implementation phase and brings together the expertise of multiple organizations. The ambition is clear: to capture, transport, and store CO₂ from industry in empty gas fields under the North Sea. What you do
- Lead the Contracting & Procurement team and be responsible for the entire procurement and contracting chain.
- Translate operational, technical, and project-related needs into smart purchasing strategies, strong tenders, and effective contracts.
- Ensure that contracts are available at the right time, properly implemented, and usable by the organization.
- Bring structure to an environment where different disciplines, interests, and dependencies converge.
- Consult with Operations, Legal, technical specialists, and advise management on the best market approach.
- Monitor the overall contract and purchasing portfolio, set priorities, and ensure visible progress.
- Create momentum for stalled decisions and timely organize the right discussions and decision-making for risks or dependencies.
- Develop the team, foster ownership, and create a work environment where people collaborate, take responsibility, and continuously improve.
- Combine strategic insight with a practical approach, looking ahead at high-level objectives and delving into content when necessary.
What they ask
- University or HBO+ level of work and thinking, for example in business administration, technical business administration, public administration, or a similar field.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, and/or contract management.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with tenders, contract formation, and contract management within complex projects or technical-operational organizations.
- Experience with stakeholder management at management and board level.
- Experience with program, portfolio, and project management.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of governance, contractual principles, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
- Experience within a joint venture environment and/or within the energy, infrastructure, industrial, or oil and gas sector is a strong plus.
