You contribute to (inter)national security in a professional environment, for a government organization and other ministries.
- IT must always be available for office staff, military personnel during exercises or operations, and other public services.
- You work on the management, maintenance, and further development of a highly secured network.
- You work with modern network and communication technologies to ensure the optimal functioning of the physical and active network infrastructure.
What you do
- Install, maintain, and manage network equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform work on LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Support lifecycle, migration, and replacement projects.
- Analyze and resolve network failures and technical problems.
- Perform work at various locations and occasionally abroad.
- Register and administratively process completed work.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary IT teams to ensure service continuity.
- Manpower planning for the Field Service team.
- Regularly work on-site and wear company clothing.
- Participate in on-call duties when necessary.
What they ask
- MBO working and thinking level, preferably with a completed education in Informatics, Computer Technology, Telecommunications, or similar.
- Affinity with network management and IT infrastructure.
- Preferably some work experience within ICT or network technology.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Willingness to perform on-call duties and travel occasionally.
- Driving license B.
Preferences.
- Certifications such as NEN3140 VP, VCA, and ESD (willingness to obtain these in the short term).
- Experience with one or more of the following techniques: CCNA Routing & Switching, Nokia DWDM and IP-MPLS, Extreme Networks Routing & Switching, Cisco Wireless Networking, Eaton UPS systems (230V and 48V).
- The emphasis in this role, in addition to FS activities, is on the manpower planning for FS.
