In a residential facility, work is done with people facing multiple issues, such as psychological problems, a mild intellectual disability (MID), and addiction. It is crucial that peace and safety prevail at night.
What you will do.
- You are the point of contact and the vigilant force within the facility.
- You monitor order and safety for both residents and colleagues.
- You supervise access to the building and intervene in unsafe situations.
- You address residents about agreements and set boundaries in a calm, clear manner.
- You act steadfastly, correctly, and de-escalatingly, remaining calm during threatening incidents.
- You perform light household and technical tasks.
- You handle administrative processing.
- You participate in handover moments and work meetings.
Profile
- MBO level 3 or 4 diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with the target group: people with psychological problems, MID, and addiction.
- Good communication skills, steadfastness, and ability to de-escalate situations.
- Ability to handle aggression and remain calm and adequate in threatening situations.
- Ability to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) upon employment.
- Affinity with the Christian identity of the organization.
