Working for a government organization in a socially relevant position. Contributing to a safe country by ensuring all units can perform their IT work 24/7. IT must always be available for office employees, during exercises or operations, and for law enforcement services. Reliable and secure network connections are essential. You will make a direct contribution to this.
What you will do. You will work on the management, maintenance, and continuous development of a highly secured network. You will work with modern network and communication technologies and ensure that the physical and active network infrastructure continues to function optimally. No day is the same.
- Installing, maintaining, and managing network equipment and infrastructure
- Performing work on LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
- Supporting lifecycle, migration, and replacement projects
- Analyzing and resolving network failures and technical problems
- Performing work at locations in the Netherlands and occasionally abroad
- Registering and administratively processing completed work
- Collaborating within multidisciplinary IT teams to ensure service continuity
- Manpower planning for the Field Service team
What they ask You are a practical and eager-to-learn IT professional with an affinity for network technology and practical engineering. You work accurately, think in solutions, and feel comfortable in an environment where collaboration, responsibility, and flexibility are important.
- MBO working and thinking level, preferably with a completed education in the direction of Informatics, Computer Technology, Telecommunications
- Affinity with network management and IT infrastructure
- Preferably some work experience within ICT or network technology
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Willingness to perform on-call duties and travel occasionally
- Driving license B
Wishes.
- Certifications such as NEN3140 VP, VCA, and ESD are desired. If you do not yet possess these, you are willing to obtain them in the short term
- Experience with one or more of the following techniques is a plus: CCNA Routing & Switching; Nokia DWDM and IP-MPLS; Extreme Networks Routing & Switching; Cisco Wireless Networking; Eaton UPS systems (230V and 48V)
- The emphasis in this role, in addition to Field Service activities, is on the manpower planning for Field Service
Practical
- Regularly working on location and wearing company clothing
- Light physical work may be part of the job
- Participating in on-call duties when necessary
- A security screening is part of the selection procedure
- A reference check and assessment may be part of the selection procedure
- To be eligible for this position, you must originate from a country within the European Economic Area, or possess a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA)
