Information Security Officer

As an Information Security Officer (ISO), you ensure that innovative digital healthcare remains safe, reliable, and future-proof. You translate risks into concrete improvements, advise management and colleagues, and are a driving force behind the further professionalization of information security within a digital healthcare organization.

What you will do.

  • You are the expert for colleagues, partners, and suppliers in the field of cybersecurity.
  • You process reports, answer questions, and ensure that information security is on the agenda.
  • You use your knowledge to prevent a wide range of information security threats within the line and in projects.
  • Manage and further develop the ISMS.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 requirements.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate information security risks.
  • Maintain the risk register.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Prepare management reviews and management reports.
  • Advise management and colleagues on security measures.
  • Increase security awareness within the organization.
  • Perform controls.
  • Initiate and follow up on improvement measures.
  • Research and implement the most suitable GRC tool.

Profile

  • Experience in preparing and guiding internal and external audits.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or NEN7510, or demonstrable ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
  • Able to correctly identify, analyze, and formulate risks - distinguish between situation, cause, risk, and consequence, and apply this clearly and consistently in the risk register and management reporting.
  • Demonstrable understanding of risk management - not just assigning scores but substantively weighing, interpreting, and translating risks into management advice with action options.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own priorities.
  • Strong communication skills - clear advice, organizational sensitivity, and persuasiveness.
  • Hands-on experience with a GRC tool (plus).
  • Background in healthcare (technology) (plus).
  • Experience with quality management (ISO 9001, HKZ or similar) (plus).
  • Knowledge of AVG/GDPR in a healthcare context (plus).
