Groundwater Specialist

Develop solutions for sufficient and clean (drinking) water and preventing water nuisance by smartly using data and effectively deploying information flows and models.

What you do

As a (model) specialist, be involved in projects for (semi-)governmental bodies and private parties.
Work on projects in the field of regional groundwater modeling, climate adaptation, groundwater (quality), groundwater monitoring, the Desired Groundwater and Surface Water Regime (GGOR), nature and stream restoration projects, dewatering, infrastructure projects, and dike reinforcements.
Collaborate on projects related to the surface water system.
Work independently on projects involving groundwater modeling in Modflow or other modeling packages.
Become proficient in GIS, data management, scripting, and master one or more programming languages (preferably Python).
Set up, calibrate, and validate complex models with the support of senior specialists.
Operate proactively in multidisciplinary teams including hydrologists, ecologists, geotechnical engineers, landscape architects, water quality experts, designers, and process managers.
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with quality standards.
Actively contribute to the further development and expansion of the groundwater field.
Prepare clear technical reports and advisory reports.
Contribute to tenders.
