OnSite Support Engineer

As an OnSite Support Engineer, you are responsible for the continuity and quality of IT at client locations. You resolve incidents, perform management tasks, and look beyond today's report.
What you do
- You often work half a day or a full day at a client's site.
- At the start of the day, you align on priorities.
- You handle incidents, management tasks, checks, and smaller technical assignments.
- You keep tickets, client documentation, and asset information up-to-date.
- At the end of the day, you discuss findings with the client contact person and forward actions to the appropriate colleague within the organization.
Your role with the client.
- You are the recognizable face of an IT service provider on location.
- You translate technical findings into clear explanations and concrete follow-up actions.
- You identify risks, deviations, and opportunities before they become larger problems.
- You maintain the balance between direct support and structural improvement.
What you work on.
- Workplaces, laptops, peripherals, and device lifecycle.
- Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Windows clients and, depending on your knowledge, Windows Server.
- Basic checks on networks, switches, Wi-Fi, cabling, and connectivity.
- Onboarding, offboarding, deployments, migrations, and roll-outs.
- Monitoring, compliance, updates, security status, and documentation.
Profile
- A completed technical MBO-4 or HBO education, for example in Computer Science or IT.
- Approximately three years of relevant work experience in support, workplace management, system administration, or a comparable environment.
- Good communicative skills in word and writing.
- An analytical, customer-oriented, and independent work attitude.
- The ability to investigate technical issues, implement solutions, and document them clearly.
- A driving license, as you regularly work at client locations.
Useful knowledge.
- Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.
- Windows clients, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
- Microsoft Azure and Entra ID.
- Basic network knowledge, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
