The activities are carried out within a product group of an Energy Distribution Company (EDB) of a Material Maintenance organization. The primary task of the EDB is to supply energy in the form of electricity and heat to defense objects and naval vessels. The EDB is an energy supplier, energy producer, and grid operator. The goal is to achieve the most reliable, efficient, and undisturbed energy supply possible for a maritime base and an air base.
In addition, the EDB ensures adequate energy supply at the lowest possible cost in the event of changes in energy demand and/or adaptations or new construction of infrastructure. Finally, the EDB provides energy to all establishments of a government organization in the Netherlands by ensuring properly dimensioned contracts.
What you will do.
- Supervise work to be carried out by contractors, with an emphasis on safety, quality
- Provide safety instructions to contractors
- Generate improvements regarding outsourced activities
- Act as work supervisor for own activities in accordance with legislation and standards for the operation of electrical installations for all installations under the management of the EDB
- Perform maintenance work

- Prepare reports
- In consultation with the ship's crew, safely prepare, establish, and commission the connection
- Provide assistance with work upon request
Profile

You work within the framework of established guidelines, relevant parts of health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations regarding high and low voltage installations, and regulations in the environmental permit and allocated budgets.
What they ask
- Certificate IV/WV or willingness to obtain it before starting work
- Driving license B
- Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written
- VCA-Basic certificate at the start of the work
- Willingness to participate in an on-call duty roster (1 week every 6 weeks, reachable by phone outside normal working hours, sporadic presence at the work location due to emergency)
- Dutch nationality
- Willingness to apply for a Certificate of No Objection (VGB-MIVD) and cooperate with a screening by the Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD)
Wishes.
- At least an MBO-4 level diploma in Electrical Engineering or MBO-4 related to energy technology
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of electrical distribution networks in Medium Voltage and Low Voltage
- Additional training
- Demonstrable work experience in providing safety instructions
- Driving license BE
