Contract Manager

A large and complex government organization is looking for an independent contract manager who stands for strong and accurate contract management.

What you will do.

You are the link between the supplier and the organization's operations.
You monitor contractual agreements with suppliers at a tactical level.
Thanks to your correct interpretation of the contract, no misunderstandings arise during implementation.
You ensure the optimal result of all matters arising from the contracts, so that the organization has access to the agreed resources.
You resolve gaps that arise in the fulfillment of agreements with suppliers.
You conduct discussions with suppliers and act as an intermediary between different parts of the organization.
You independently manage large and complex contracts within the unit and maintain intensive contact with operational supervisors.
In some cases, you take the lead on national contracts.
You are responsible for optimally utilizing agreements made throughout the entire term of a contract, with the aim of cost and quality control.
You are the first point of contact for personnel and operational matters as a replacement for the team coordinator.
You collaborate with fellow contract managers to further develop contract management.

You have a strong network to obtain necessary information from all layers of the organization.
You are familiar with large and complex contracts and the associated challenges.
You are able to independently manage projects and multiple contracts.
You are proactive and take initiatives to improve the organization's services.
You can distinguish main issues from side issues and are relationally focused on connecting and collaborating.
You guide fellow contract managers in developments within the field and the organization.
You advise the management team on processes, developments, and improvement opportunities.
You work structured, have analytical insight, and are customer-oriented.
You possess good coaching, advisory, and communication skills, techniques, and persuasiveness.

What they ask

HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level and an education in business administration or facility management.
Demonstrable experience as a contract manager of large and complex services.
Experience with (European) tender processes.
Knowledge of the CATS CM methodology or motivated to obtain the CATS CM Foundation and Practitioner in your first year.

Preferences.

You will work together with a team of 14 colleagues.
A lot of responsibility and trust is given within the team.
The work environment offers a combination of working in the office, on location, and from home.
