Information Provision and Automation Employee

As an Information Provision & Automation employee, you guide change processes resulting from modifications to IT systems within a government organization. You identify, formulate, and analyze problems within the IT and operational management processes, and monitor problem resolution.

What you will do.

  • Act as the first point of contact for end-users and line managers during new IT releases and changes.
  • Provide operational management advice for usage questions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for IT services and seek process improvements related to IT.
  • Gain insight into the IT operational processes and the department's IT landscape (applications; software & hardware).
  • Provide future-oriented advice on the IT landscape.
  • Support the section head and colleagues from the ground-based weapon systems section.
  • Execute, evaluate, and coordinate the department's IT landscape (software & hardware), including needs assessment.
  • Advise on ICT issues and IT-related matters.
  • Develop and evaluate IT manuals applicable to the department.
  • Maintain contact with IT suppliers within the organization.
  • Coordinate and guide knowledge sharing of IT operational management.
  • Handle onboarding of new employees regarding rights and ICT resources (hardware & software).
  • Consult and update activity registration systems, such as Service management ServiceNow, Microsoft, and IAM systems.
  • Work closely with team members, the department, and various other internal and external parts of the IT organization.

  • HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level or a demonstrable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of results-oriented operational management.

  • Knowledge of maintaining, migrating, and user management of IT functionality.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of project trajectories and change management.

Practical

  • A security screening is part of the selection procedure.
  • A reference check and assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
  • You must be from a country within the European Economic Area, or possess a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA).
