Planning Economist

As a planning economist, you make an important contribution to the area and property development of a public organization. You bring your financial knowledge to (residential) construction projects, area developments, redevelopments of existing real estate, and the sustainability of real estate. You keep an eye on both financial feasibility and public and social goals. The activities are an integral part of regular business operations and are carried out within the existing organizational structure.

The employee is part of the team, participates in internal meetings, and works under the daily guidance of the responsible manager. Priorities, activities, and desired results are determined by the organization. Due to the importance of continuity, knowledge retention, and close cooperation with internal stakeholders, this is a structural role within the team that requires full integration into the organization.

What you will do.

  • Advise on financial feasibility, risks, and development strategies
  • Increase financial awareness within projects
  • Translate financial issues into clear and practically applicable advice
  • Prepare and update land exploitations and MPSO's
  • Calculate scenarios
  • Analyze risks, costs
  • Support project teams, management, and board with your insights
  • Advise on Anterior Agreements with private developers and on the costs, benefits, and financial distribution associated with area and property transformations

Profile

You are an engaged and analytical sparring partner for project managers and policy advisors. You help increase financial awareness within projects and advise on financial feasibility, risks, and development strategies. You know how to translate financial issues into clear and practically applicable advice. Your activities are part of regular business operations and are carried out within the existing organizational structure.

What they ask

  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a Planning Economist within a public organization
  • Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
  • Agreement with the stated secondment conditions

Wishes.

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a Planning Economist
  • Demonstrable work experience with advising on AOKs and preparing and updating land exploitations
  • Demonstrable knowledge through a completed education in planning economics and area development
  • Demonstrable work experience with preparing and updating land exploitations and MPSO's
