As a business analyst, you act as a link between business, policy, operations, and IT. You clarify the underlying question, make dependencies explicit, and translate findings into concrete consequences for processes and systems as a basis for decision-making.
- You are a sparring partner and advisor for clients and project leaders, working within the strategic frameworks of a public educational institution and the digitalization vision.
- You translate change assignments into concrete and feasible project initiatives. In doing so, you inventory and analyze the needs of the business, customers, and other stakeholders. You translate these into change scenarios, making the impact on the organization and chain partners transparent and testing feasibility.
What you do
- Work in a multidisciplinary context with information architects, the portfolio manager, product owners, project managers, and ICT specialists to further build and professionalize the organization's services.
- Work on complex change assignments in a versatile, sometimes political environment.
- Play a crucial role in shaping business processes and improving customer and user experience.
- Organize and guide workshops.
Profile
- Analytical, proactive, and strong in communication.
- Enjoys working project-based and is adept at thoroughly understanding the impact of change assignments and translating them into concrete advice.
- Familiar with process modeling.
- Experience in conducting preliminary studies and drafting business requirements (demands and specifications) in an environment with public services for various customer groups in a collaborative chain.
- Thinks outside the box, asks sharp questions, and probes where necessary.
- Knows how to clearly and structuredly document insights.
- Creative, customer-oriented, and easily switches between customer needs and the strategic ambitions of the organization.
What they ask
- HBO or university level of thinking and working, and a degree in an information or business administration direction.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis.
- An 'open' perspective and the ability to switch between operational and tactical/strategic levels.
- Strong analytical skills and good at listening, summarizing, and asking probing questions (LSD).
- Good insight and broad knowledge of the ICT domain, its developments, and their significance for the business.
- Familiar with translating needs into business requirements in a digital environment with many internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with process modeling and UML techniques.
- Experience with organizing and guiding workshops.
- Good command of the Dutch language at a minimum B2 level.
Desired.
- An ECBA certificate is a plus.
