The assignment involves independently conducting municipal research and monitoring projects, from research design to analysis and reporting. The focus is expected to be on various municipal monitoring studies. The definitive scope and concrete research assignments will be determined at the start of the assignment.
What you will do.
- Drawing up research plans and developing appropriate research methods, including questionnaires
- Preparing, coordinating, and conducting quantitative and qualitative research
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing research data
- Interpreting research results and translating them into relevant insights for municipal policy
- Preparing clear research reports and presenting results to involved clients
What they ask
- The candidate must use their own laptop and mobile phone (BYOD)
- Completed university degree (WO), preferably in social sciences, public administration, or another relevant research field
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrable work experience with independently setting up, conducting, and reporting on quantitative research
- Demonstrable experience with developing questionnaires and analyzing research data with statistical software, such as SPSS or R
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience as a researcher within or on behalf of a municipal organization, preferably with municipal monitors and policy research
Preferences.
- Experience with municipal research and monitors, such as liveability, resident, and city monitors
- Experience with developing questionnaires, conducting data collection, and analyzing research data
- Experience with independently translating research results into clear, policy-relevant reports for municipal clients
- Short-term availability for the execution of the assignment
