As a Union Officer, you are responsible for union work in the industrial sector. This sector includes various sub-sectors such as the chemical, plastics and rubber, paper, and food industries. You collaborate with colleagues to develop policies and a vision that aligns with the organization.
What you do
- You advocate for good collective labor agreements (CLAs) and conclude them independently for a specific region.
- You organize engaging CLA processes where members are central.
- You are the point of contact for several national CLAs in the region.
- You champion the interests of all employees within the sector, together with members.
- You ensure the preservation of genuine jobs.
- You play an active role in involving potential members and volunteers in the organization.
- You work on collective matters; individual issues are primarily handled by the Individual Advocacy & Services department, in consultation.

- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Knowledge of social law, labor relations, employment conditions, etc. Knowledge of pensions is a plus.
- Skilled in interacting with and mobilizing members, fostering their self-management.
- Experienced CLA negotiator capable of quickly understanding the characteristics of a sector.
- Prioritize creating a strong union presence in the workplace.
- Connect diverse interests to achieve innovative and supported solutions.
- Ability to strategically and effectively influence to achieve results.
- Communicative and socially skilled, results-oriented, and able to engage and activate potential members.
- Enthusiastic and decisive, capable of advocating positions that sometimes go against established interests.
- Experience as a union officer is a plus.
