Project Collaborator online exhibition

This project builds on the results of a European research project that investigated the different ways in which religious coexistence was considered in various historical contexts and how religious peace treaties were established in the past. As a project collaborator, you are responsible for developing the public-oriented and educational translation of the project results.

What you will do.

  • You will finalize a web exhibition (NL/EN) and an accompanying educational dossier on religious tolerance and peace.
  • You will build the exhibition in a developed online environment.
  • You will develop and organize activities to involve the heritage sector and the wider public in the launch of the exhibition and the educational dossier.
  • You will collaborate and coordinate with employees within different departments of the organization and with the researchers involved in the project.

Profile

  • You have a passion for history and hold a master's degree in history, art history, or a comparable study with a strong historical dimension, or are equivalent by experience.
  • You are fascinated by religion and diversity, in the past and today. A good knowledge of the religious history of Europe is a plus.
  • You preferably have experience with the development of public historical projects or exhibitions, physical or (preferably) online.
  • You are captivated by heritage and want to work with it in an educational context. You already have experience in this area or are willing to acquire it.
  • You can work independently but also in a team.
  • You have experience with accessible writing for a broad audience in Dutch and/or English, and preferably experience with translating complex stories into visuals and language for a large audience.
  • You are familiar with digital communication channels.
