A care organization is looking for a nurse to promote the well-being of participants in a meaningful role. The department offers housing, guidance, and care to people who often have dealt with psychiatric vulnerability, addiction, and/or homelessness for years. The location comprises two departments, one of which specializes in participants with psychiatric and addiction issues in combination with a mild intellectual disability. You will work in a multidisciplinary team.
What you do
You are a proactive nurse who excels in care provision, management, and policy development. The focus is on leading and maintaining short lines of communication. Evening, night, and weekend shifts are not part of the role.
- Managing caregivers.
- Motivating care-avoiding participants towards accessible medical care.
- Providing information and advice to colleagues about client health.
- Coordinating treatments and guiding medication administration.
- Collecting and providing information about the participant, exploring the situation and needs.
- Advising on the formulation and establishment of the care plan regarding the client indicator for physical condition.
- Coordinating nursing care within the framework of multidisciplinary treatment activities.
- Having an advisory role regarding the provision/administration of medication prescribed by the doctor.
- Evaluating care in the care plan regarding the client indicator for physical condition.
- Maintaining external contacts regarding the client indicator for physical condition.
- Referring participants, for example, in cases where specialized help outside one's own discipline is needed.
- Performing common nursing and (most common) nursing technical actions in accordance with the care plan, within the framework of applicable work agreements, protocols, and guidelines.
- Actively contributing to improving service provision and discussing this with the manager.
- Actively participating in work meetings.
- Guiding new colleagues and interns.
- Participating in work supervision, intervision, and/or supervision meetings.
