As an ISK teacher at an educational institution, you have the freedom to shape your lessons in your own way. You teach students who have recently arrived in the Netherlands and help them not only learn the Dutch language but also find their way in society. You combine language education with study skills, professional knowledge, and the development of self-confidence.
What you do
- Switch between different levels and paces of students.
- Ensure a safe, structured learning environment.
- Act as a mentor and guide students in their development.
- Work closely with colleagues to help students take the next step towards PrO, vmbo, MBO, or employment.
- Take a guiding and motivating role in education.
- Build a strong bond with students with energy, humor, and empathy.

- A teaching qualification (preferably PABO, Minor NT2, or 2nd degree).
- Knowledge of and affinity with multilingual newcomers.
- Excellent communication skills.
