The activities are carried out within a new Data & Quality team. This team is part of the Data section, falling under the Systems & Analysis department of a logistics command within a government organization. The department's goal is to contribute to optimizing maintenance and achieving the required material availability of ground-based systems throughout their entire lifespan.
The Data & Quality team specifically focuses on structurally improving and safeguarding data quality within the logistical and financial domain, with a primary focus on SAP data.
What you do
In this challenging role, you play a crucial and guiding role within the Data & Quality team, proactively taking the initiative to introduce new technologies and analysis methods. You also serve as a Deputy Team Leader. Your task package is versatile and requires a hands-on and innovative approach:
- Data Analysis & Development: You independently develop information products and complete the associated performance indicators. Additionally, you perform advanced data quality analyses and flawlessly identify where data is incomplete or inconsistent.
- Quality Improvement & Solution: You determine the causes of the identified deviations and elaborate them into concrete improvement proposals within the applicable frameworks. This ensures the step from identification to sustainable resolution.
- Stakeholder Management & Advice: You act as the primary point of contact between internal project groups on the one hand and the clients on the other. You coordinate your findings with stakeholders and jointly seek structural improvements.
- Innovation & Reporting: You utilize Business Intelligence to successfully convert data into management information and, where meaningful, apply Data Science techniques to timely recognize patterns and deviations. Furthermore, you prepare the associated and periodic (management/system) reports.
What they ask
- An academic working and thinking level, supported by a completed relevant university or HBO education (e.g., Business Administration or ICT).
- More than 2 years of demonstrable experience in information products, analysis, reporting, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of and experience with SQL, Power BI, and Business Intelligence (BI).
- Experience with Data Science and a drive as a hands-on analyst to introduce innovative working methods within the department.
- Affinity with Material Logistics and Finance is a plus.

Practical aspects.
- A security screening (VGB) is part of the application process.
- It is necessary to have Dutch nationality.
