You prepare aid workers for using technology in stressful situations, enabling them to act faster and better. You provide them with vital information at moments when every second counts. You will work for a young, mission-driven software house focused on developing Health & Safety Apps for demanding environments. The clients are professionals who save lives daily. You will build technology that truly makes a difference, not for entertainment, but for the safety of aid workers and the people they help.
You will work in a small, close-knit team with short lines of communication, a lot of ownership, and room for your own input.
What you do
As a specialist, you are the face of the organization in the field.
- Prepare and deliver hands-on training to clients both domestically and internationally, demonstrating how the software and hardware work and enabling everyone to use them independently.
- Translate user feedback into concrete improvement proposals for the development team, ensuring products increasingly meet practical needs.
- Investigate which form of support best suits the client: a video, a quick-reference card, a detailed PDF, or a practical session.
- Take objections and comments seriously, ask probing questions, distinguish user errors from genuine product issues, and escalate what truly doesn't work well to the development team.
- Work on your own development: training in didactics, deepening your technical knowledge of the products, or language courses to communicate even better with international teams.
- Implement technology with clients and onboard new users.
- Demonstrate how products work in practice and coordinate with developers.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, preferably in Communication, Technical Business Administration, Informatics, or similar.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French is a plus.
- Basic knowledge or affinity with technology; you understand how hardware and software interact and can explain it clearly.
- Experience with training, teaching, or presenting to adult professionals.
- Proactive, independently switching tasks, and taking charge of training, client contact, and feedback.
- Willingness to travel abroad (mostly Europe) approximately six times a year for training and demos.
- Highly eager to learn and continuously grow in both product knowledge and personal skills.
- Empathic and a good listener, but also able to ask sharp questions to interpret user feedback and escalate when necessary.
