You will work on multiple interconnected permit processes for various organizations. You will contribute to ensuring sustainability, liveability, and safety in a densely populated region, from permit issuance to supervision and enforcement.
What you will do.
- Proactively monitor the permit issuance process and the integrity and progress of applications.
- Efficiently and effectively realize permit applications.
- Quickly establish relationships between activities within the organization, coordinate with colleagues and clients.
- Adjust the planning of your own tasks accordingly.
- View interests and risks from all sides.
- Make decisions based on analysis, consistency, and precedent.
- Successfully complete complex permits, no matter how intricate.
- Make an important contribution to policy development for quality improvement.
- Coordinate and guide dossiers related to themes that may extend beyond the organization's scope and influence regional or national developments.
- Coordinate and guide dossiers with a multi-year character and a high degree of uncertainty.
- Coordinate and guide dossiers with a very high political, financial, and/or social impact.
- Manage cross-field work processes.
- Make a significant contribution to the transition to new legislation, such as the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet).
- Develop strategies from different perspectives and mobilize the necessary individuals.
Profile
- Great passion for environment and safety.
- Experience in the field and ready for complex projects.
- Working on the sustainable development of an entire region.
What they ask
- HBO or university level of thinking and working.
- Technical education in the field of Environment and Safety.
- Several years of experience as a permit officer.
- Demonstrable knowledge of environmental matters in granting environmental permits.
Preferences.
- Experience in coordinating and guiding dossiers related to themes influencing regional or national developments.
- Experience in coordinating and guiding dossiers with a multi-year character and a high degree of uncertainty.
- Experience in coordinating and guiding dossiers with a very high political, financial, and/or social impact.
- Experience in managing cross-field work processes.
