Permit Officer APV and Events

As a permit officer, you handle applications within a broad and varied field of work, including events, hospitality, and various initiatives in public spaces. You are responsible for the entire permit process, from planning to decision, and assess applications against laws, regulations, and policies. You identify various interests and ensure careful, well-motivated decisions, thinking in terms of possibilities. You are an important point of contact for initiators and maintain contact with various parties.

You monitor progress and ensure timely processing.

What you will do.

  • Manage the entire permit process, from planning to decision.
  • Assess applications against laws, regulations, and policies, and draft permits and conditions.
  • Collaborate in the preliminary phase with initiators and be their point of contact.
  • Coordinate with internal colleagues, applicants, residents, businesses, and chain partners.
  • Weigh different interests and seek legally and practically feasible solutions.
  • Participate in the call and mailbox service to answer questions from residents.
  • Conduct field visits where necessary to assess situations.
  • Follow developments within your areas of focus and contribute to improving processes and services.
  • Participate in projects and project groups, for example, concerning process improvement and the development or replacement of systems.

Profile

You find it interesting to translate regulations into practice and to bring different interests together. You are firm, customer-friendly, solution-oriented, and do not shy away from difficult conversations. At the same time, you enjoy working collaboratively, know when to take the lead, and when coordination is needed. You are curious and want to continue to develop yourself, and you possess good oral and written communication skills.

What they ask

  • Preferably a (legal) education at HBO level or knowledge and experience gained in a similar position (minimum MBO+ working and thinking level).
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of APV, events, Alcohol Act, and other special laws is a plus.
  • A good sense of administrative relations.

Practical

You will work within a team of approximately 40 colleagues with various specialisms, focusing on a broad permit package. There is room for personal and professional development and active collaboration.
