You work within a division of a healthcare organization that provides care to clients at home, in a residential care environment, or during a rehabilitation process. As a wound consultant, you are part of an expert team. This team supports extramural district teams and can also be deployed by other healthcare organizations to provide specialized wound care. You do not have a fixed workplace and perform your activities within a broad region.
Together with colleagues, you ensure the development, safeguarding, and improvement of wound care. You collaborate closely with (district) nurses, specialized nurses, and external chain partners. The translation of regional and national developments into broad policy and vice versa is shaped within the expert group. You are managed by your supervisor and support nurses and caregivers with specialized knowledge, advice, and guidance in the field of wound care.

Profile
- HBO-level nursing education (level 5), supplemented with a specialized wound consultant training (post-HBO)
- Several years of practical experience is a plus
- BIG registered
- Ability to work independently within applicable guidelines, protocols
- Work evidence-based, observing professional standards
- Perseverance and determination in treating, caring for, and guiding clients with complex wound problems
- In possession of a driving license and own transportation
