Postdoctoral Research on LHBTI+ Emancipation

• Independently describe, analyze, and explain which factors have contributed to LHBTI+ emancipation, with specific attention to the role of a particular organization in sub-project 1.
• Co-write a book on the history of the organization (sub-project 1) or a book on successful LHBTI+ emancipation in a comparative perspective (sub-project 2).
• Collaborate intensively with other scientists at various stages of their careers.

What they ask

• You hold a PhD in sociology or another social science, with demonstrable interest in (political) sociology. Your PhD must be approved before the employment contract starts.
• You have experience with historical-sociological research.
• You have demonstrable knowledge of and publications in the field of gender and sexuality, and demonstrable knowledge of theories on political-cultural changes.
• You have experience in both conducting independent research and working in a research team.
• You possess excellent oral and written skills in both Dutch and English, including writing for a broader than purely academic audience.

• Depending on demand and alignment with the department and your supervisor, the contract may be temporarily extended with teaching duties.
