As a probation officer, you draw up action plans for the implementation of supervision of individuals sentenced by a court. You also carry out this supervision. You check whether the client complies with the imposed special conditions, such as a location ban or following behavioral training. You encourage and motivate the client to adhere to the conditions and make responsible choices. You signal impending violations.

- Guide clients in addressing criminogenic factors such as housing, finances, social contacts, work, and meaningful daily activities.
- Work in a close-knit team and consult regularly with colleagues.
- Maintain contact with partners in the security chain, such as the public prosecutor's office, judges, police, and treatment institutions.
- Pick up and pass on signals as a 'spider in the web'.
- Keep a close eye on potential victim interests and public safety, while also being there for the probationer.
