As a technical energy specialist, you translate customer needs into technical concepts for microgrids and other energy systems. You design Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), select components, and monitor technical choices throughout the project. Additionally, you contribute to the continuous development of an Energy Management System (EMS), including product vision, roadmap, and backlog. You interact with customers, suppliers, sales, detail engineers, and international partners.
You will work for a technical organization that develops and delivers solutions for propulsion, energy, and sustainability. The portfolio includes, among other things, ship propulsion, industrial machinery, emergency power supplies, combined heat and power plants, and solutions for grid congestion. The organization works with internal engineering and sales teams, suppliers, and international technical partners. 24/7 support is provided from service locations.
Technical product training through its own Training Academy and e-learnings are available for development.
What you do
- Translate customer needs into technical concepts and system solutions for microgrids and energy systems;
- Design Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and perform component selections;
- Collaborate with detail engineers and monitor technical choices, scope, and quality throughout the project;
- Support Sales with technical input, cost estimates, and the preparation of global offers;
- Provide technical support for project execution and act as a point of contact for colleagues and customers;
- Contribute to the development and optimization of the Energy Management System (EMS);
- Help build the product vision, product roadmap, and backlog of the EMS.
What they ask
- Possess a higher professional education (HBO) degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable technical field, or equivalent;
- Have 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a technical project environment, or equivalent;
- Possess basic knowledge of energy systems, digital energy technology, or Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), or equivalent;
- Have experience with or affinity for EMS products, software-driven solutions, or multidisciplinary engineering, or equivalent;
- Be proficient in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing;
- Be able to approach technical issues analytically, communicate clearly, and effectively interact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
