An experienced Information Provision Team Leader is sought for a municipal organization. The organization serves approximately 32,500 residents and fulfills an important central function in a region. Approximately 320 employees work within the municipal organization. The Information Provision (IV) department consists of approximately 35 employees (28 FTE), divided across information management, functional application management, ICT, and documentary information provision (DIV).
The department faces a significant development challenge to further professionalize its information provision. There is a need for an experienced leader who will take on both the daily management and the future setup of the department.
What you will do. As an Information Provision Team Leader, you are responsible for the daily management of the IV department. You ensure stability, clear work agreements, and good cooperation between the different disciplines. At the same time, there is an important change assignment. You will investigate how the department is currently organized and where improvements are possible. Based on your analysis, you will develop a concrete proposal for the future setup of the department.
- Managing, coaching, and guiding approximately 35 employees within the various IV disciplines
- Monitoring daily service delivery and the progress of ongoing projects
- Introducing structure, priorities, and clear responsibilities
- Stimulating collaboration, ownership, and further team development
- Analyzing the current organizational structure, processes, and mutual cooperation
- Drawing up a proposal for the future setup of the department, including roles, responsibilities, and development steps
- Creating support for changes and guiding the first steps towards implementation
You are visible on the work floor, know how to involve employees in changes, and at the same time dare to make clear choices. The assignment requires a leader who not only develops plans but also ensures they are executed.
What they ask For this assignment, we are looking for an experienced leader with knowledge of information provision and extensive experience in organizational and team development.
- A completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
- At least 5 years of demonstrable leadership experience within information provision, ICT, information management, or a comparable environment
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, preferably of at least 20 employees
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience with organizational development, change processes, and team development
- Experience with coaching, strengthening collaboration, and increasing ownership
- Preferably experience within a municipal or other public organization
