Mechanical Design Engineer

You will join a Technology Department within an international production company.

The department is responsible for the technical support and realization of investment and improvement projects, as well as turnarounds.
You will bridge the gap between production and engineering.
You will assist operational departments in developing new ideas and improvements.
You will translate ideas into technical designs and ensure that installation documentation and P&IDs remain up-to-date.

What you will do.

Develop, visualize, and document technical concepts and installations.
Translate ideas and improvement proposals from production into feasible technical concepts.
Investigate technical possibilities and assess the feasibility of new installations or modifications.
Create sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models of industrial installations.
Be regularly present in production to identify needs and align designs with practice.
Update P&IDs and process changes based on field checks.

Profile

At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, CAD Designer, or design engineer within an industrial environment.
Experience with process installations, piping, pumps, tanks, and other mechanical installations.
Experience with reading, creating, and updating P&IDs.
Strong knowledge of at least one 3D CAD package such as Creo, Inventor, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D.
Experience with AutoCAD or a similar 2D CAD package.
Good knowledge of Dutch.
Professional bachelor's degree in Electromechanics or equivalent by experience.
