Support Worker

GelderlandOn site28 hours/week<3months

Are you looking for a dynamic work environment where your experience and strong personality truly make a difference? Do you get energy from guiding people with complex psychiatric problems and do you enjoy supporting them in crucial steps towards independence and recovery? Then this is for you. A healthcare organization is looking for an MBO 4-trained support worker for an intensive mental health care facility.

What you will do. As a support worker, you help clients regain control over their lives. The facility itself does not provide treatments, but you are the link that helps translate insights from their treatments into daily life.

  • You support residents in establishing a daily rhythm, self-care, planning, and adhering to agreements.
  • Thanks to your experience, you understand what a client needs to build self-confidence and become more independent.
  • Through the SRH methodology, you stimulate what is possible, using creativity, flexibility, and perseverance. You do not think in limitations, but in possibilities and strengths.
  • You work with colleagues to achieve good group dynamics, so that clients optimally cohabit and learn from each other.
  • In collaboration with the personal supervisor, you guide individual clients so that goals in the care plan are achieved.

Profile

The facility is a protected living environment where a diverse target group builds their future. The location consists of two living groups: one for young adults (9 residents) and one for adults (8 residents). Clients struggle with diverse, often complex psychiatric vulnerabilities. They usually come from a clinical or closed admission and stayed here for a maximum of two years.

In this important intermediate phase, you help them take concrete steps towards independence and recovery in society, before they move on to long-term protected living, protected home care, or an outpatient trajectory.

What they ask

  • You have an MBO 4 diploma in the field of Care and Welfare, for example SPW, MMZ, or similar.
  • You have experience with, or affinity for, people with complex psychiatric problems.
  • You think in possibilities and enjoy collaboratively seeking what is achievable.
  • You enjoy working together and are open to feedback and development.
  • You apply a structured, friendly, and people-oriented approach: you are firm and not deterred by dynamic situations.
  • You are willing to work irregular shifts, including (neighborhood) sleep shifts and weekend shifts.
