Within a government organization, satellite data is used to measure and monitor the deformation and displacement of objects. This technique needs to be developed into a standard service and operated. The project's approach involves development through production. The core of the project consists of monitoring three tunnel entrances/deepened sections identified as high-risk. The monitoring is included as a KPI in the organization's management plan.
Additionally, the service will be expanded to other types of objects.
What you do
The Data, Development and Advice (DOA) department of the Central Information Provision is responsible for the (geo)data foundation for societal themes such as the Geo-basic structure of the Netherlands, Safety, and (Shipping) traffic management. In addition to data products, the department provides advice on this data to users inside and outside the organization. The department also drives innovation and development in data acquisition, data analysis, data science, and new algorithms.
To accelerate the application of satellite data in work processes, the Remote Sensing Team was established within DOA. The team advises on the use and develops products and services based on satellite data.
What they ask
- Completed university (WO) education in remote sensing, geodesy, or a comparable field, or demonstrably equivalent knowledge level through relevant work experience
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable knowledge and work experience with analyzing geodetic and Remote Sensing data
- Able to discuss, document, and advise on complex substantive issues in Dutch
- Demonstrable experience with Python and GIS
