As Team Leader Finance & Control, you will work for an umbrella organization of social work organizations. This organization supports its members so that they can optimally contribute to social support and social work. An engaged and connecting team leader is sought, who understands what is happening within the team. You provide direction, offer clarity, and create space for employees to take responsibility and develop themselves.
You combine attention to people with an eye for quality, results, and the development of the financial function.
What you do
- Lead a team of approximately 18 FTE
- Bear both hierarchical and professional responsibility for financial administration and financial controllers within the various foundations and administrations
- Ensure a professional, uniform, and future-proof financial function
- Monitor the quality of financial processes, the setup of administration, the timeliness and reliability of management information, and employee development
- Provide direction, set clear frameworks, and stimulate ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Ensure the elaboration, implementation, and compliance with group-wide established frameworks within the financial function
- Work on developing and harmonizing financial processes and systems
- Strengthen financial steering within the various foundations and administrations
- Be a sparring partner for employees and, together with the Group Controller, monitor the quality of analyses, forecasts, and business cases
- Provide hierarchical leadership, coach, develop, and evaluate employees
- Ensure correct, complete, and timely financial processing and monitor the quality of financial administration (Exact), as well as purchasing and banking
- Provide professional direction to employees and promote uniform working methods, reports, and broad management information
- Coordinate the budget and forecast cycle and monitor the quality of management reports
- Initiate improvements in financial processes and systems and stimulate digitalization
- Monitor internal control measures and compliance with financial, fiscal, and administrative frameworks
- Coordinate cross-departmentally on financial issues and agreements where necessary
Profile
- HBO+ or university level of work and thinking, preferably in Accountancy, Finance & Control, or a similar field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within finance and control
- Experience with both financial administration and (business or financial) control and the planning and control cycle
- Experience within an organization with multiple business units or operating companies
- Experience in leading financial professionals is a plus, or the ambition to develop quickly in this area
- In-depth knowledge of financial processes, reporting
- Ability to translate complex financial issues into management information
- You provide direction, connect people, and stimulate ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement
Practical
- You report hierarchically to the Manager of Operations and have a functional line with the Group Controller
- A fixed collaboration day at the office every two weeks (Tuesday)
- Incidental presence at other locations of the organization for consultation or collaboration
