As an Institutional Research Consultant, you play a crucial role in providing information and interpretation, enabling the organization to make informed choices and continuously improve. You translate research and analyses into sound and complete advice for stakeholders.
What you do
- Translates research and analyses into sound and complete advice for stakeholders.
- Addresses strategic issues, such as talent-oriented education and a balanced range of courses.
- Responds to customized requests within the organization, for example, regarding information provision for higher professional education master's programs.
- Continuously monitors overall quality, including through national student surveys.
- Is a critical and pleasant discussion partner at all levels, adapting communication to the target audience.
- Has a helicopter view and insight into strategic developments.
- Works hands-on and practically, mastering quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Effortlessly switches between designing surveys, analyzing labor market data, and conducting student interviews.
- Plays an active role in a broad network of Institutional Research colleagues.
- Connects the organization with the outside world by participating in national networks and utilizing national research and data.
What they ask
- Minimum of a completed master's degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational organization.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language (conversation, advice, notes).
- Strong communication skills at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
- Relevant knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and data analysis.
- Knowledge of SPSS or R is a significant plus.
- Enjoys collaboration and seeks connection.
- Does not shy away from critical discussions.
- Knows how to inspire others and build support.
- Organization-sensitive, skilled in advising, and a good listener.
Practical
- You will start in the Institutional Research subteam of the Quality team within the Education & Research department.
- You will work closely with IR colleagues from other support services in a broad IR network.
- By the end of 2026, you will be transferred to a new integral team within the Education & Research department, where expertise in institutional research, data analytics, and business intelligence will be combined.
