An organization is looking for an experienced engineer to strengthen its Engineering teams. You will work on high-impact technical topics across multiple teams. Within a cross-functional team, you will collaborate with Architecture and Engineering teams to solve complex technical problems, define standards, and contribute to the construction and industrialization of an internal platform. This role involves a strong dimension of architecture, technical strategy, team support, and cross-functional decision-making.
What you will do.
- Architecture and complex problem-solving:
- Design architectures for complex topics or those with high technical uncertainties.
- Identify and resolve technical blockers impacting multiple teams.
- Design and promote the adoption of components, standards, and "golden paths" within the internal platform.
- Study and support structuring decisions: build vs buy, migration strategies, technical debt management, etc.
- Ensure the consistency of technical choices over time.
- Technical vision and governance:
- Contribute to defining and steering the technical trajectory at the Engineering level.
- Participate in technical governance: RFC, ADR, architecture reviews, technical standards.
- Collaborate with Product teams and business stakeholders to translate business challenges into relevant technical decisions.
- Coaching and skill development:
- Support senior developers and technical leads in their progression.
- Disseminate best practices and foster team autonomy.
- Directly contribute to technical topics to demonstrate best practices by example.
- Facilitate the adoption of new practices, technologies, and technical approaches.
- Cross-functional intervention:
- Promote consistency of technical choices across different domains: software, infrastructure, enterprise systems, etc.
- Provide support in critical situations: major incidents, sensitive migrations, strategic POCs.
- Collaborate with different teams without a direct hierarchical link to advance technical decisions and initiatives.
Profile
You have significant experience in Software Engineering and have worked on complex technical problems at a cross-functional scale.
