What you do
As a Test Manager, you play a major role in monitoring quality. You organize, plan, and manage test execution. Where possible, you will be hands-on and perform some of the tests yourself. For this, you interact daily with colleagues, product teams, and other stakeholders. You know how to convince people of the usefulness and necessity of various tests. As a test manager, you provide a reliable judgment on quality and report on this to various stakeholders. Your role is versatile and challenging. You will:
- Be the point of contact for testing and quality within your subdomain
- Help projects and teams determine where testing brings the most value
- Translate project objectives and requirements into a risk-driven test approach
- Bring structure by identifying functional and non-functional requirements
- Arrange the necessary people, systems, environments, and test data to perform tests and bring them all together
- Report and advise on test coverage, test results, and quality risks
- Be involved in performing test activities where necessary
- Actively contribute to the test policy and the professionalization of testing
- Coach employees from a discipline other than testing (e.g., administrators) in the basics of testing and quality thinking.
What they ask Education:
- Minimum of a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in computer science
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a test manager in IT projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and executing tests in IT projects
- Experience with (co-)managing and addressing suppliers regarding delivered quality
- Experience with setting up and guiding User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
- Excellent proficiency in the Dutch language (C2)
Preferences.
- Experience within a government organization, preferably within the Intelligence domain
- Experience with product risk analysis and risk-based testing
- Experience with automating tests in Playwright or Cypress
- Possesses a TMAP Test Manager or ISTQB Test Manager certificate or similar
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
