An institute for behavioral insights within a large academic institution applies behavioral knowledge in practice.

Conducts behavioral psychological research for public, semi-public, and private organizations.
Offers advice based on scientific behavioral knowledge, lectures, workshops, and postgraduate courses.
Aims to contribute to solutions for societal issues through applied and scientific research.
Operates as an impact center under a larger academic incubator.
Conducts independent research using scientifically sound methods.
Research teams may include scientists from the academic institution and/or external specialists.

What you do

Set up and conduct literature reviews.
Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Distribute surveys.
Conduct interviews and lead focus groups.
Write reports.
Independently provide workshops on behavioral change.
Contribute to postgraduate education.
Contribute to writing grant applications.
Help build a network of clients and collaboration partners.
Participate in acquisition activities, including developing and marketing applications of behavioral research.
Supervise a junior researcher and one or more interns/student assistants.

Completed master's degree and work experience in psychology, behavioral economics, or sociology.
Experience with or interest in behavioral models (e.g., Behaviour Change Wheel).
Experience in conducting behavioral research.
Experience in writing advisory reports.
Experience in providing education and/or workshops and presentations.
Demonstrable interest in one or more expertise areas of the institute.
Experience in setting up and conducting field research.
Experience or interest in qualitative and multi-method research.
Interest in developing leadership qualities.
Strong analytical skills and ability to distinguish main from secondary issues.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A creative, open attitude and entrepreneurial mindset.
Experience with acquisition.
Excellent communication and writing skills in Dutch (C2 level) and English.
