As a sociotherapist, you help patients develop in their daily lives in various areas, such as following treatment, learning a profession, personal care, and social interaction. The main goal is to reduce the risk of criminal behavior. You guide patients with severe psychiatric problems within a (highly) secured environment of a forensic care institution.
What you do
- Establish peace and structure on the ward.
- Identify risk behavior and anticipate it.
- Regularly coordinate with a multidisciplinary team that includes, among others, a head of treatment and a psychiatrist.
Profile
- You are in the final phase of a relevant HBO or WO education such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Integral Security Science, OR you have already graduated.
- You are strong in reflection and finding solutions.
- You can offer a customized approach.
